The main point here is that people need to be able to relate examples of the same type.Just as you need to make sure that you are using the same words, you also need to make sure that you are using the same general nature of the same kind of problems. This also applies to all of the examples, but if you are trying to illustrate a similar thing (for example, if you use the example of the car and foot to illustrate your argument that people are stupid), it makes it easier to identify where the commonality ends and where it begins. You'll have more success when it comes to use the same examples of similar kinds of situations. Just make sure that you don't use examples that are extremely similar.You should also be us ing an exact parallel here, but you should not go too far off. This paragraph may come from either the first or second paragraph of the essay samples. Simply making a statement on that paragraph is not enough.The more you use these examples of situations, the better your common sense will be.
